Hi Chu-Ching,

than you for your work. I wanted to read the calculus file (to see the evolution with the old one) and couldn't get it with your link. May we get access to read this file ?

Thank you again

Marc

Hi all,

For the purpose of preparing for calculus lecture, I make a live CAS platform
with TeXmacs. It can run on PC, netpc (EeePC, Acer aspire one) and laptops
without any installation.

Since it is considered for the use in calculus class, symbolic CAS are
strongly emphized here. It contains the following CAS and utilities:

1. Maxima-5.20.1 with wxMaxima-0.8.3;
2. Axiom-2009/12;
3. Gnuplot-4.2.1;
4. xcas;
5. Octave-3.2.2 (with modified TeXmacs octave plugin);
6. compact Python environment for calculation: python-2.6.4, sympy,
scipy/numpy, matplotlib, scitools;

A outline lecture about calculus, calculus2010.tm, is also packed in this
cdrom . Several examples are given to demonstrate how to solve math problems
by the help of CAS.

It can be downloaded from:

http://diffusion.cgu.edu.tw/ftp/LiveTeXmacs-1.0.7.3-cdrom.iso

Although this version is in CDROM format, it is not difficulty to remaster it
as USB stick version.

If you are interested in purely python environment or web-computing
environment, you can also try the other platform:

http://diffusion.cgu.edu.tw/ftp/sage-4.3.iso

Best regards,

cch
