Hi Adrian,

I copied texmacs.desktop over to the applications folder, but I still cannot see it under "open with". I am using Ubuntu 10.10. I can open texmacs by typing texmacs in the termainl, but not luck otherwise. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
K

Let me know if this helped you.  That way you will now be able to select "open with" and choose texmacs.

I installed texmacs from source and I can successfully launch texmacs from the command terminal, and open .tm files with "texmacs filename.tm". I would like to be able to double click on the .tm files and have them open in texmacs as well. Does anyone know how to do this in Ubuntu? I tried creating a launcer with a shell script, but to no avail.
