Hi,
I find the new look definitely better. Here are my suggestions:
- I think the copyright notice is too big. It's just more of that visual noise and could be rendered without a background and in the same font as the footer. I'd also right align it.
- Actually I would completely dispense with the copyright line. What's the need for it? And it also makes me not want to correct typos or mistakes, lest the copyright owner sue me...
- I would reduce the height of the header, and maybe discard the background color for the links.
As to the html conversion:
- The header is a bit confusing. Maybe we could find a better one.
- The footer could include the usual "column site map" in a small font: One column per section with a bold title then the sections listed below.
