That's one of my options... it may be the easiest. I just thought I'd check to see if anyone had relevant experience or plans, before I try it myself...

Any reason why not texmacs -> HTML -> epub?

I have been thinking about making some of my TeXmacs documents available in ePub form. It looks like the LaTeX to ePub route is not yet very smooth; I may try either TeXmacs --> LaTeX --~~-^v^^v-->ePub (second arrow denotes a circuitous route), or TeXmacs --> LaTeX --~-> HTML --??--> ePub, or TeXmacs -->HTML --??--> ePub.

Has anyone tried this before? Any recommendations?

Is anyone thinking about a direct ePub exporter for TeXmacs? It would be interesting to “scoop” the LaTeX community on this important step. Some of the websites I've seen suggest that mathML may be coming to ePub, so it might be worth targeting and anticipated future version of ePub if this is actually likely to happen… I know little about ePub at this point except that (A) I need to generate it if I want to give my student something that isn't already paginated as a PDF, and (B) it appears, from my scrutiny of the paper and ePub versions of the 40th anniversary printing of Dune, that the Kindle editions of books are generated (to my horror) by scanning a printed copy of the book <\shudder>.
