Hi,
I suggest that you try to install the latest version (1.0.7.16). That problem has almost surely been fixed (as far as I can tell, parenthesis are now automatically resized and there's no need to type special characters)
Best,

I am using texmacs 1.0.7.14-1 on Ubuntu 12.04 (obtained via the Ubuntu Software Center). I am trying to add parenthesis that automatically re-size when I place a large summation symbol or fraction within the parenthesis. I can usually type Alt+Shift+9 and Alt+Shift+0 and then fill in between. It's not working in this version.ThanksKenny
