A bug has been opened for this. I don't know what the answer is, only that it is much more complicated than it appears.

Styles cascade, and the question is how do we get a reference to the style to use in a way that isn't affected by cascading styles to the point where the footnote is defined. Even if the footnote should inherit no style whatsoever, how do we get such an environment at that point.

Hello,

I found while using Insert Footnote, the notes tend to get formatted
differently depending on where the footnote is inserted.
For example -  if i insert footnote in a regular text the footnotes is
formatted similarly to the text.
In other case if a footnote is inserted in a section text, it is
formatted in bold like the section text.
How to get away from such behaviour.. ? i need the foot notes to be in
the same font irrespective of where the foot notes is inserted.

Thanks!
