Just a comment: Version 1.0.7.14 is waaay too old. You have a brand new 1.0.7.18 waiting at texmacs.org... ;-)

I'm sorry I cannot help with the shortcuts: AFAIK there's no way to "go to the next buffer". However you have the shortcut definition

  ("emacs:prefix b" (interactive go-to-buffer))

which presents you with the list of buffers to choose one to go to.
