Hi,
I'm having a couple of issues with keyboard in Windows 7 x64, using the
latest version of TeXmacs (though the issues have been around for a while)
-
Firstly, sometimes the Alt (and AltGr) keys stops being interpreted by
TeXmacs. This seems specific to TeXmacs' input system - it works fine in
other programs, and even in TeXmacs, Alt+Space will open the window
context menu. This is not all the time, and I cannot find any trigger to
make it work or stop working. I'm using the US International Alternate
keyboard layout (a windows implementation of US-Int (AltGr Dead Keys), but
stock US has the problem as well.
Secondly, sometimes the TeXmacs seems to refuse to interpret a minus sign
in math environments. Inputting with the same key in ordinary text still
yields a hyphen, so I have no idea what's going on here. Again, it's a
sometimes thing - can't find any trigger. The two problems seem to be
unrelated (though I've never actually noticed them both occurring at the
same time).
Anyone got some tips on how to look further into these?
Also, poring through the Qt changelogs, it looks like there are a few
input-related fixes, both global and Windows-specific, between 4.8 (what
current Win TeXmacs appears to be built with) and the latest compatible
version, 4.8.4. Apparently they're binary compatible so I'll try a quick
drop and test; not very hopeful though.
Cheers
Jarrad
