This is a longstanding bug in MacOS. Massimilano mentioned some technical difficulties some time ago, but I don't know whether they still apply. If you are willing to contribute some time and know your Cocoa, then please check src/src/Plugins/MacOS/ in the sources. ;)

Hi,

I’m currently using the latest TeXmacs (1.99.1) installed from the official .dmg file on OS X (10.9.1). I found that whenever I open a .tm document by double-clicking the file in Finder, two windows of TeXmacs will be opened, one being the actual file and the other one being an empty document.

If I choose the empty window, and click the close button, it will disappear with no problem. However, if I choose the empty window and press cmd+w to close, the empty window becomes a duplicate of the actual document (so there are two identical TeXmacs windows displaying the same document now). And if I press cmd+w one more time trying to close the duplicate window, both will close and TeXmacs itself quits.

I’ve tried tried different versions of TeXmacs on multiple OS X machines, and this strange behavior occurred in every case. Is it a bug or did I miss some configuration?

Thanks,

Zuhao
