hi,

it seems to work for me too. I am under ubuntu with a compiled svn version, all the other versions (.deb or tar.gz) refusing to launch properly under ubuntu 15.10.

I didn't tested it but it should work with TeXmacs 1.99.2.

A clear .tex file is due to an error in the conversion process, because
there is no exception handling made at this level, so the converter
can fail even with the smallest insignificant bug.

Can you get an error message ? Try e.g. to launch TeXmacs from a shell,
and/or to show debug/error messages via Tools->Console->...
