Maybe move the no page break after tag inside the equation above it?
that's impossible ( tag not offered if insertposition. after the u of du and
still in the mathematics box; if inserted outside the box but still in the "line" of
the box it wraps to its own line

Try eliminating the blank line after the 4th eguation on the second page. I don't have access to texmacs at the moment.

but sorry - did not help.
Even the 1st page break makes me unhappy.

I've had it do this before also. I don't remember what makes it happen. If it occurs to me I'll post it.
