An enhanced TeXmacs for Windows version is available for download:

It incorporates a pre-installed spell checker (Hunspell) with en_US and fr_FR dictionaries and enhanced image i/o possibilities (for instance TeXmacs can behave as an equation editor for Inkscape). Amazingly, this package is smaller than the official one, in spite of the extra stuff.

Additional Hunspell dictionaries can be added manually (see above link).

The paint is quite fresh, so I advise you to perhaps not immediately overwrite your current version: install it alongside and test it before (or simply rename you present texmacs folder texmacs.back to easily go back). Any feedback is welcome.


The second good news is that, from now on, anyone can produce a build of the latest development version. Just download and run the fully automated builder here: https://github.com/slowphil/texmacs-win-builder/releases
But note that each time such builder is run, all the network traffic and computing involved requires a significant amount of energy. So please be responsible and use it only with valid reasons (i.e. wanting to hack the c++ code, or desperately needing a recently committed fix). In all other cases do not gratuitously waste this energy; it is more sensible and much faster to download the pre-built package.
