thanks Basile for your answer
i encounter problems with pdf inserted in texmacs files, while exporting to pdf
i downgraded last year to 1.99.4, for this reason but recently even with 1.99.4 i had a pdf picture (my logo) that became color-inverted after exportation of the tm document to pdf
that's why i use npg pictures
the problem is, beyond the fact that i dont like GeoGebra, that when i used to draw with tikz within latex, if a point is named A, the typography of the letter "A" was exactly the same, in all my book even in the pictures. Now, when th elettre "A" is on a picture which is insertd in my document as a picture, it is very difficult that the occurences of "A" be the same in the picture than in the text
thats why i am wondering if there exists simple solutions to draw vectorial pictures in texmacs

Hi Vincent,

Why not simply export from geogebra as PDF then?

My own approach is to plot all the curves in a PDF document using a math software, and then use a graphics software to do all the fancy editing. My personal combination is wolfram mathematica/adobe illustrator, but many others are possible. The trickiest part is to clean up the PDF document produced at step 1 (which usually has lots of useless masks, etc.) when starting step 2.

Hi Basile
well...
i create figures with geogebra, and export them to png and insert them in texmacs
in a former life i used to create figures with tikz, and insert them in my latex documents
the result is without any commparison between this two methods
i am wondering if, among the long experience of texmacs users of this forum, some people use maybe means to create vectorial graphics in order to insert them in texmacs ? or if the native graphic solutions offered by texmacs allow now the user to create complexe geomtric figures ? or if somene would be very comfortable with, say, creating picture with python/tkinter and inserting them as vectorial images in texmacs documents...
well, i can make tho whole book with png images from geogebra, it works... i am juste searching if there could be today simple ways to insert beatiful and typographically satisyfing maths picture in texmacs documents...

Hi Vincent,
is your question about generating a PDF file for your figure — which is a non-texmacs issue?
Or is it about embedding a PDF file into a texmacs document?
Or are you asking a recommendation for a plug-in to produce the graph directly inside texmacs?

hi i am wondering what would be the best strategy
to insert this sort of figures :
<PastedGraphic-19.tiff>
for my last book i exported from geogebra to tikz and worked on the source code of tikz, for this reason i needed to work with LaTeX.
would you have a suggestion to avoid this ?
python and tkinter ?
julia seems difficult
asymptote inside texmacs ?
home texmacs solutions ?
thanks for your help, i will have somewhat 100 figures to insert in my book
