In the documentation, it specifies that the border of a cell is the maximum of its own border and the border of the adjacent cell in the direction of the border. This gives it a double border in the pdf export:
Does that mean that there is no way to have one cell with a border around it while all other cells have no border? It renders this way in the html export:
