Hi Phillipe, thanks for the effort. Running on Ubuntu 17.10, I get the following

$./texmacs-0-Build87.2.glibc2.15-x86_64.AppImage 

ERROR: In procedure primitive-load-path:

ERROR: Unable to find file "ice-9/boot-9.scm" in load path

And nothing pops up.
