Well you could just pass a long list of commands in the command line to convert a few dozen at once, or you could choose a daemon in scheme, but that's a different task I can't advise on.

In combination with a batch mode I could have an invisible TeXmacs linger in the background and convert whenever the index daemon asks it to.
