hi Joris
i made these trys :
(i run mac os X 10.14.6)
i exported this tm file
Attachment:
Untitled.tm
Description: Binary data
to this pdf
Attachment:
preview.pdf
Description: Adobe PDF document
under GoogleChrome, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave i dont' see the "-" even if i zoom at the max that each app gives
under Safari, Firefox, Aperçu, Adobe Acrobat Pro, i see the "-" without needing to zoom
well i dont often use a browser to open pdfs, but some (and not a minority) of my student do
i must find a solution so that they see my "-" otherwise i have to send them my works either using screenhosts, either under .tm format which can be hard if for example they read my docs from a smartphone
what i have not tried is maybe changing the fonts (maybe with Styx it could work better ?)

Unfortunately, I think that this is not a bug, but a problem with
the various viewers that you mention. The minus sign is very thin,
when using the default font, and several Pdf renderers round
its thickness to zero. Usually, you will be able to see the minus
by zooming in.
Best wishes, --Joris
