I have bought the book.

Nothing will prevent the pdf from being widely circulated, sooner or later.

We may achieve the objective of supporting better the core team by making it easy to donate.  I second the suggestion that Joris (and potentially others) should create a liberapay/patreon/xxx account to facilitate this. I would immediately donate 100€.

In fact, a larger base of readers, even if pirate, may increase the userbase enough that indirectly more support flows into the project, with monetary and nonmonetary contributions.

Finally, looking at the success of Overleaf[0]: there may be a business opportunity  in developing the infrastructure for collaborative editing of TeXmacs documents [1]. This project could directly and indirectly finance some of the core development as well.

Kind regards,

Paypal should provide you with the option to pay with a credit card without
opening an account.  But they sometimes don't provide this option (in certain
countries or when they are suspicious of I do not know what).  In that case,
please write to the contact email address provided at scypress.com.
Of course, it is impossible for me to know how frequently this happens,
unless people complain.

Best wishes, --Joris
