Hi Basil’s,

Nice video, but I cannot get the banners to appear in each equation. I have the packages installed.

HI Giovanni,

Here is a short movie which illustrates this great new feature — make sure both the preview-ref and smart-ref packages are enabled.
Note that I had to run Document > Update > All… to make it work.

I am not sure how to help TeXmacs resolve conflicting reference numbers, e.g., if you mean to cite section 1 and not equation 1.

Concerning labels, references, and citations:

  - By selecting the preview-ref style package (from Utilities), the target of references and citations are displayed in a tooltip.
  - When your cursor is just behind a label, reference, or citation, the Focus→Search menu contains several items for finding labels, references, and citations that use the same key or that are incorrect or broken.
  - When entering a reference, you may obtain the label from its numeric value. If you also selected the preview-ref package, then the target label text is shown in a preview window.

I do not understand what "obtain the label from its numeric value" means. Is it a means to have handy a list of existing labels when one is up to writing a reference? Till now, I go to where I remember the label is to recall how I spelled it (and copy it if it is long ...); if it is not that, and in case you plan to add features to this: it would be useful to have such a thing.
