Hi Luigi,
apologies if it is an obvious remark, but did you pick a template for your document, such as tmarticle? The new equation features don't seem to work correctly if no template has been selected.

I see a small dot below before evaluating or if I move the mouse cursor on the label after evaluation.
Informative flags: detailed
Styles: preview-ref and smart-ref active
Tried to update the document with no changes.
Best,

I tried and also failed. There is also a small dot when I hover it with mouse - I guess that this small dot is the tool tip which failed to render correctly.
Does that implementation depends on some libs (of gtk / qt)?

Hi all,
I failed to get the same effect after loading preview-ref, smart-ref (I think that this is not necessary) and all updated. I attach a screenshot. I see that there is a small "dot" below the letter "e" and the focus box, but not a tool tip.
Best,
Frank

Here is a short movie which illustrates this great new feature — make sure both the preview-ref and smart-ref packages are enabled.

Note that I had to run Document > Update > All… to make it work.
I am not sure how to help TeXmacs resolve conflicting reference numbers, e.g., if you mean to cite section 1 and not equation 1.

Concerning labels, references, and citations:
- By selecting the preview-ref style package (from Utilities), the target of references and citations are displayed in a tooltip.
- When your cursor is just behind a label, reference, or citation, the Focus→Search menu contains several items for finding labels, references, and citations that use the same key or that are incorrect or broken.
- When entering a reference, you may obtain the label from its numeric value. If you also selected the preview-ref package, then the target label text is shown in a preview window.
I do not understand what "obtain the label from its numeric value" means. Is it a means to have handy a list of existing labels when one is up to writing a reference? Till now, I go to where I remember the label is to recall how I spelled it (and copy it if it is long ...); if it is not that, and in case you plan to add features to this: it would be useful to have such a thing.
