Why not avoid "structured editing" outside of math mode?

Hello,

By this I mean that editing outside of math mode would be very similar to
other WYSIWYG word processors.

For example, changing the indentation level of an item in a list would be
done using tab and shift-tab.

I think this would make TeXmacs easier to learn and use.
