Hi Giovanni,
This is a bit tricky, but you essentially did write.
You should set the right padding of the interspersed text to zero and
then specify a tiny exact width for the cell that contains it.
In Format -> Cell, you may also want to specify 'block content'.
The decorations while editing are somewhat bugged though.

Dear all,
as in the object: how do I write aligned equations with text in
between? To add an example, I would like to do the same that one
does with \intertext in LaTeX.
I have tried this: within "several equations" add a row below the
line which I want to comment, join the three cells, write.
In this way the text (written using the text primitive) is part of
the alignment of the equations (it moves the = signs to the right,
as the texts are longer than all of the LHSs of the equations), and
I do not want this. Ideas to correct this, or other ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Giovanni
