Hi Jay,

The main problem with our 2.1.1 builds was that subscripts and superscripts
could no longer be entered.  We did not touch the Qt pipe code.

I think that there were some proposals towards fixing this bug lately (a Qt5 
issue,
if my memory is correct; we are obliged to use Qt5 for recent Ubuntu 
releases).
However, I can't easily find the discussion in my email; maybe the person who
had some proposals could post them on texmacs-dev with an easy to find 
subject...
