Dear Texmacs developers,
TeXmacs 2.1.2 seems to be out now — I downloaded it the other day from
https://ftp.texmacs.org/pub/TeXmacs/tmftp/macos/
<https://ftp.texmacs.org/pub/TeXmacs/tmftp/macos/> after repeatedly failing
to upgrade from a booting Texmacs 2,1.1 under OS X 13.6/15.7. However this release
raises some questions.
1. Why didn’t the upgrade from within 2.1.1 not work.
2. Why has the release of 2.1.2 not been made public on
http://www.texmacs.org/tmweb/download/macosx.en.html?
<http://www.texmacs.org/tmweb/download/macosx.en.html?>
3. Unfortunately, in this build as of 2022.05-05 the TeXmacs changelog
doesn’t mention any changes from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 which imho would have been
quite helpful.
As far as I can tell after working on some tm-files the latest OS X version
seems to be running fairly smoothly. Yet regrettably some critical issues are
still not fixed, e.g.
1. The gui still erratically zooms in and out while copying and pasting.
2. The version of *gs* that ships with 2.1.2 is still flawed despite the fact I
filed a bug report to Savannah as in early February. (See
https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?61991 <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?61991>)
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
Tilda A. Steiner
