Dear Massimiliano, dear Grégoire.

Keeping my preferences and configuration files for the lastest TeXmacs 2.1.4 build in ~.TeXmacs/ and then reinstalling the May 3 build again, I have native menu bars without any of the issues mentioned in the email above. So I guess the quirks must have been introduced some time after May 2024. For the time being, I’m considering staying with the May 3 build (in native mode) as it has proved to be pretty stable over the last seven months.

I personally think, yet another button/icon in the TeXmacs window is not really conducive to a well designed work space. Besides pressing  Option+Command+S or Option+Command+P is not really that much of an effort.

Cheers, Tilda

I experienced similar issues. The cursor disappear sometimes, but I do not know how to reproduce it.

The problems with edit preable is however there always on recent builds. I do not know when it appeared.
It seems that the OS intercepts that particular key combination as TeXmacs do not seems to receive any event due to this key combination.

Accessing the preamble is a quite common operation. Can we have some button on the UI for this?
Also would be nice to have an indication on screen that we are editing the preamble or the source tree as not to cause confusion.

I'm experimenting with a solution.

Best regards,
Grégoire.
