Hi to every one. I have not been able for years to find the mathematical symbol (in) i.e. a (in) A. Could some one please explain me if such symbol is hidden somewhere?

You can enter it in a document as \in (first type \in, then enter).

Another way: on one of menu bars, there is:

big sum symbol | accolades | big tilde accent | cross in a circle | inequality symbol | arrow | ...

Go to the inequality symbol. On the right, and near the bottom, is the symbol.

However, I don't see the relation to hypothetical French translations of "Jolly writer".
