I do agree with you Basile for the code and the workaround. And indeed, what I usually do is ask for a tex file and then import it : it works without difficulty :)

The code generated by this AI looks like garbage to me. I would recommend that you ignore the result and use a different approach. It is going to be easier than trying to fix code that does not make much sense.
Now, if you really want to fix this code, I recommend the standard approach to debugging: simplify the code as much as you can while preserving what you think is a buggy behavior.
