Yes, that's it. For example, instead of "[Gongora-Nieto et-al.
(2004)Gongora-Nieto, Pedrow, Swanson, and Barbosa-Canovas]", I want to get
"Gongora-Nieto et al., 2004".

Probably, that would be the fastest solution but, what would happen if I were
preparing two papers for different journals (with different citation styles)?
Should I redefine that macro everytime? Which chapter of documentation should
I read to learn to redefine that macro?

I have tried Lyx (first time I use it) and it's quite easy to use that BibTex
style there. Frankly, I like very much TeXmacs and I think that is superior
to Lyx in many ways but sometimes TeXmacs isn't as easy as it should be.
Those things make quite difficult to suggest the use of TeXmacs to my
co-workers. I know that I shouldn't complain but I'm feeling tired to be the
one who uses a different (but better, I believe) piece of software.
