OK, the fact that you could not load the font "fireflysung" seems
to be related to the problems you describe in your previous mail,
namely : "cannot see any character appear on the menus", as you
said ; for being unable to input anything, I guess that if no
font at all is available, the input is impossible as well :-(.

The problem you have is with the TrueType support ; for some
reason, TeXmacs is unable to load the default unicode Korean
font : this is the root cause of the problem.

It is rather likely that the current stable version is compiled
with TrueType support disabled, or either, compiled for english
language. This is the reason why it doesn't exhibit this problem.

Therefore, to enjoy Korean fonts inside your TeXmacs, you should
check if the FreeType module in your Linux install includes
the Korean fonts (especially : the one which cannot be found
by TeXmacs, namely, the "fireflysung" font), because it seems
rather likely that the Korean TrueType fonts are missing in
your system (=> thus, it leads to TeXmacs being unable to load
them...).

Indeed, following your suggestion I can now enjoy inputting-outputting korean characters.

How did you solved the problem exactly ?

O.K. I have found several bugs in CVS TeXmacs.

1.Import and export of latex files containing CJK characters are buggy: CJK characters are not correctly imported or exported. Same goes with scheme import and export. But html and verbatim import and export are O.K.

Noted.

2.It takes too much time to load CJK True-Type fonts: When I first input CJK characters from the keyboard, I have to wait one or two minutes to see the characters appear on the texmacs screen. But after that, inputted CJK characters are displayed on the screen without any delay.

I would guess that you waited one or two minutes because TeXmacs compiled
the fonts. It should not happen again, except the first time you start
using a font (or a particular size of a font) you never used before.

If all the time, for the very same font, each time you fire TeXmacs anew,
you need to wait one or two minutes to be able to input Korean characters,
then we have a real problem.

3.In maple interface, simple calculation like "2+3" seems to take infinite loops.

This one is a Maple problem, I don't know the current state of the maple
interface.
