For some reason when I start maxima session inside texmacs using Insert -> Session -> maxima , I get the following error

ed Unsupported version of maxima: 5.10.0

After this there does not seem to be any output inside the maxima sessions. I tried for example

A = 2

A

Usually it prints the value of A. But this does not. The konsole is filled with messages such as

TeXmacs] Launching 'tm_maxima 5.10.0 gcl'

Is this texmacs' problem or maxima problem or Debian's packaging problem? Against which package should I file this bug report? Any workarounds for this problem?

thanks

raju
