Hi Henri

Let me make it clear first, the successful installation of cgyTexmacs is totally an independent unix windows system which has nothing with windows os. there is no preset up in windows for the run of cgyTexmacs.

If this is true, I still have a problem to get the index paging and imaging working, because they are all displayed with question marks. Could you give me the hints what could be the major problem for these.

Thanks for your quick response.

I did try to install cgyTexmacs version. But still can not make it working fully. In particular, when update TOC, Table of figures, tables. and for the bibliography list. The page index just return as question mark when updating. Could you tell me why. and where should I put new bst style file in cgyTexmacs system.

For cgyTexmacs installation, do we need to remove all stuff from WinTexmacs installation? and just install one single installation package of cgyTexmacs.

I am thinking moving to Linux OS now as long term hassle of Wintexmacs. Could you tell me that your texmacs system is fully working under linux now. How about the performance when you are trying to compile big writing stuff saying 250-300 pages, which includes a lot of maths notation, figures and tables.

Regards

Jack

Things are rather simple, either :

1. You use WinTeXmacs, which is more lightweight, but is
currently unmaintained. As a consequence, some features
are broken, and currently, nobody will fix them (it will
probably change in the future, but not now, we need
to finish simplifying the codebase to be able to resume
  working on WinteXmacs) ;

2. You use CygTeXmacs, which is the version of TeXmacs
that works on top of CygWin (CygWin is the flavor of UNIX
which is implemented on top of Windows). This CygTeXmacs
version of TeXmacs is compiled from the same code as the
standard UNIX TeXmacs, therefore it is always up to date,
but if you want to use it, you need CygWin. I guess the
  archive :
  <<
     ftp://ftp.texmacs.org/pub/TeXmacs/cygwin/CygTeXmacs.zip
  >>

is self-contained, and that it installs a (stripped) version
of CygWin in the same time. Otherwise, you should install
CygWin first, but I don't think its necessary.
