Dear Joris,

The problem was related with the version of freetype that was installed.
May be is related with the way that TeXmacs renders some fonts in
Spanish accented characters. Anyway the problem was already reported and
solved by Juan Pablo Romero in this list on an OpenSuSe system and I
just emerged another version of freetype (2.3.1) and now all documents
open without any problem. The documents doesn't seem exactly like the
ones in the Ubuntu system, but may be is just matter of remerge
TeXmacs.... umm... doesn't the recipe of TeXmacs for gentoo should
include a recompilation/remergind of freetype to avoid this problems?
