I got this working now, but bash annoyingly prints
"job control not available in this shell" when in
interactive mode through a pipe. 

As of right now, using bash like this crashes under
the same circumstances as the REPL script. 

cat << EOF > output

Stuff like that really fubars the TeXmacs interface,
but I can fix that, I think, if connected to bash
directly.
