This is a bug; it has been corrected for the next version.

Well, this is due to the lack of people who are willing to write
documentation about style files and packages. You find the sources of
all TeXmacs macros and functions in the directories
$TEXMACS_PATH/styles
$TEXMACS_PATH/packages
so you can take a look there in order to have a complete list
(with the exception of the TeXmacs primitives of course) and
have an idea about their functionality.
Of course, anyone who would be willing to write detailed documentation
about the TeXmacs DTD's and style files is welcome...

You should select another copy&paste format then
(Tools -> Selections -> Import/Export).
