I am new to this list and new to TeXmacs. I have
recently installed the newest version of Cygwin
from Red Hat and the newest version of the TeXmacs
source and also the version listed as "stable".
I am not able to complete the compilation of the
code under Cygwin for either of these versions.
I also located the web page:
http://www.texmacs.org/Download/Cygwin.html
which describes a specific procedure for getting
texmacs to run under Cygwin (although there was
no direct link to this page on the texmacs web site
- I found in via an external search engine.
This page also describes the installation of a newer
version of guile (1.4.1), which I did and this cured
some of the problems, but then the compilation of
texmacs aborted at another point with the error
Resource/Bitmap_fonts/shrink.cc:17: parse error before `/' token
The problem seems to be due to the use of the name
log2 which apparently confuses the compiler.
So, at the moment I am stuck and can not run texmacs
under Cygwin. Could someone please help or point me
in the direction of some specific instructions that
work?
Thanks in advance.
Bill Page.
