As I said in a recent message, there seems to be a demand for public
user support for TeXmacs.

If you are not interested in this recent discussion you can ignore
this message, thank you for your patience.

I personnaly agree very much with the idea. If a user has some
problem, some other user is likely to stumble on the same problem
sooner or later. Allowing the public to look for known problems will
help users to get their fixes faster and may lower the maintenance
work for Joris, making overall the World a better place to typeset in.

But the current support scheme based on private mail to
address@hidden clearly has no public visibility. Conversely,
there is an obvious need for a low level texmacs-users list, so it
should not be encumbered with support requests.

Consequently, we just enabled the Tech Support manager on Savannah.
You can start posting support requests there:

http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?group=texmacs

New requests will be automatically notified to address@hidden.

We might also create a public support mailing list on gnu.org (which
would also receive notifications of new support requests), but since
mailing list creation on gnu.org is not undoable, we will only do so
if there is an expressed need. Please ask for it to
address@hidden if you want a "address@hidden" mailing
list.

Thanks to all who are willing to help other users in need.

TeXmacs is NOT a LaTeX front-end and is unrelated to emacs.
