With Quantian you can also show the way TeXmacs can be used as an interface
for various CAS'es.

Knoppix is the 'mother' of all Linux live CD's. Quantian (and many others)
are
(mostly) based on Knoppix. Knoppix' (and thus Quantian's) hardware detection
is really excellent.

All these live CD's can be copied freely, so you can just keep some in your
pocket to give away to people that think that Linux is still only for people
who are commandline wizards. And they're also great as rescue discs. And with
the USB storage stuff you can keep your system easily in your pocket (with
your /home on the USB thingy).

I'm hoping that people will start creating bootable DVD's of this kind! A
little arithmetics seems to suggest that you can put something like 12 GB of
(compressed) software on such a DVD. So then you don't have to limit yourself
to science, education, clusters (google for clusterKnoppix!) but you'd just
need one little disc that has it all.

bye,
Kasper
