Hallo TeXmacs' friends,
I'm wrting my thesis with TM, and I realized that I spend much of the time
scrolling up and down to, say, write some text and add a label in some
appendix, then go back to some part of the text and add a reference.
I was wondering whether it was possible to introduce a way to move faster
within open documents, that is a menu listing the elements of the toc
(chapters, sections, subsections and paragraphs) that would allow to click on
toc items and be redirected to the corresponding text.
The code is already there, as if you click on a page reference in the toc you
are sent to the right place, but going back to the tock and then forward
again is time consuming as well.
This functionality could be integrated within the "go" menu: add a separator
after the list of open buffers, and list toc items of the current buffer
after the separator, and keep this menu-toc up to date so that anytime that a
section or paragraph is added or removed, the menu is modified to reflect the
changes.
Is this feasable?
Thanks for your kind attention
Daniele
p.s.: just an OT post scriptum to say that a good latex export/import filter
is a must have...
