I took a look. AFAIK, I do handle it in a similar way. What I'd like to use is
the feature documented in 'Help -> Interfacing -> Miscellaneous features'
which
allows the plugin to tell TeXmacs when it's done.
TeXmacs will be feeding the input starting with DATA_COMMAND, but I could not
find any plugin using that, and the example one seems not to work properly,
please correct me if I'm wrong.
Apart from that, Multiline input is handled more or less successfully, I'd
like
to hear other people's opinions if they are having any trouble with it.
