I have written a short (7 page) writeup in TeXmacs, which my advisor now wants to include some of in a different document (he uses MS Word). Is there a recommended method or path for converting a TeXmacs document to openoffice or word? I have converted it to LaTex already, and that looks fine.

I found the converter TeX4ht, but am having some issues installing it. Does anybody know if this program would work well for this, or if there is a way to do this directly from TeXmacs? I foresee having to do this more times in the future, so I don't want to have to convert it "by hand".

There's (currently) no way to convert TeXmacs documents to OpenOffice from inside TeXmacs (although
some attempts have been made in the past). TeX4ht is a quite good software, but perhaps it will need to be
tuned a little bit. Also, using HTML as a pivot language will probably led you to experience some loss of the
presentation of your document. There are also more specific alternatives, like latex2rtf, which are probably
easier (the .rtf format is a standard MS-Word format).
