Hi,

I recognice that format Importing/exporting is an important issue, but definitely using Word as a Scitific Word Processor is not the best way to follow. Some advisors are pretty used with their informatics tools and dont want to learn anymore, but learning TeXmacs is a valuable learning in a University environment. Could you sugest your advisor to use TeXmacs instead (now is available for Windows also).?

Cheers,

Offray

I have written a short (7 page) writeup in TeXmacs, which my advisor now wants to include some of in a different document (he uses MS Word). Is there a recommended method or path for converting a TeXmacs document to openoffice or word? I have converted it to LaTex already, and that looks fine.

I found the converter TeX4ht, but am having some issues installing it. Does anybody know if this program would work well for this, or if there is a way to do this directly from TeXmacs? I foresee having to do this more times in the future, so I don't want to have to convert it "by hand".

Thanks for any help.

Kris
