A unnumbered section can be created using the TeX command
\section* (hit return). Similarly for chapters. I believe these will appear in the TOC.

Hi,

This is my first post to this group. I just barely started playing around with TeXmacs and I like the program. My question is..... If I'm using the article-style, how can I create a section that is not numbered in the text and is included in the toc also not numbered? Thanks for any help in advance.

Bob
