Could you start TeXmacs using a terminal (x11)? In this way, sometimes you get
a useful explanation of what's wrong. Maybe you need something to import the
images. Anything you could need is available in Fink.

I've checked the x11 terminal and there is a lot of "image to large for page" so I went and decreased the size of the picture and now I don't get a red question mark anymore, but the imported image is all black.

This may be because in the x11 terminal it says "AFPL Ghostscript 8.51: Cannot open X display", but I don't know what to do to correct this.

Any ideas?

Could you import images before installing 1.0.6.6? Or, is it a new install?

Oh, and yes this is a new install.
