Hi Nicolas.
If you don't need the book or article style for the document you could
change to generic,
Document > Style > generic
which removes all chapter, section, subsection, and subsubsection
numbering. Equations that are numbered stay numbered but the chapter
section etc portion of the numbering is removed.
