It's stored in the <initial|...> part in the
end of the file (but you can't see this part
by means of the usual "Edit source tree" switch).

In practice, when TeXmacs is running, this value
is stored somewhere in the memory. There is probably
some function of the Scheme API which can be used
to read of write these kinds of values, but I dont
know which one.
