Hi there,

I need help urgently to get an idea how to make glossary in texmacs. If you get experiences, please send me some simple sample file.

Best regards

Jack
It's in the manual under Links and Automatically generated content. It's like making an Index.

And no, I'm not going to give you an example that would expose my own situation.

Regards.

Come, now: there is no need to be snippy. If you don't want to share your documents, no one is asking you to do so. Indeed, if they are large, they might be more confusing than helpful. Jack asked for "some simple sample file", not trade secrets. If you do not have the time or inclination to make up an example like the one I have attached, then a reference to specific documentation is all that is necessary.

I am glad you mentioned that manual entry, because I had never tried to create a glossary, and it was interesting to try. Thank you for that.

Rob

  <section|Compiling a glossary>

  Glossaries<glossary-explain|glossary|a partial dictionary of a work> are
compiled in a similar way as indexes, but the entries are not sorted. A
``regular''<glossary|regular glossary entry> glossary entry just contains
some text and a page number will be generated for it. An
  ``explained''<glossary-explain|explained entry|An entry which has a
description of the term.> glossary entry contains a second argument, which
  explains the notation. A ``duplicate'<glossary-dup|duplicate entry>'
entry<glossary-dup|duplicate entry> may be used to create a page number for
the second occurence of an entry. A glossary line<glossary-line|Unlike the
previous glossary entries, the glossary-line, or ``interjection'', does not
sport a page number.> creates an entry without a page number.

<strong|N.B.:> The individual entries are made through
<menu|Insert|Link|Glossary entry>. After the glossary (below) is inserted
with \ <menu|Insert|Automatic|Glossary>, it is necessary to select the menu
item <menu|Document|Update|All> repeatedly to insure that the glossary is
  properly populated.
