I cannot make the axiom interface work with texmacs 1.07 and ubuntu (intrepid
ibex). 

Having a look here: http://axiom-wiki.newsynthesis.org/TeXmacs
I find that not only axiom, but also AXIOMsys has to be in the PATH.

So I add /usr/lib/axiom-20050901/bin to my PATH and axiom is recognized by
texmacs.

But the interface still doesn't work: it gives "generic axiom program busy" 
and
gets stuck. 

I have no idea of how to debug tm_axiom, which is a binary file (previously I
could solve a similar problem with maple because tm_maple is a bash script).

Any suggestions?
