hi

formerly i have txice oder tree times installed texmacs on a ubuntu netbook
remix or on a xubuntu
that was really simple
just went to an application with name sotmehung lilke "ubuntu center of
freewares" and typed texmacs in the resaearch field and everything came very
easily
recentrly under my xubuntu (on virtualbox udner mac os X) texmacs started to
be unable to open any file (white page with no clignoting cursor sorry for
bad english)
so i have juste reinstlaled a proper version of ubuntu under my virtualbox
now i go to "centre de logiciels ubuntu" and type texmacs, it says "canonical
ne propose pas de mise à jour"
i dont know what canonical is, but i guess that there is a problem
a go on the texmacs download pages, no link for debian seems to work…
i follow the instructions, that are saying, if i understood well "dont
download anything, juste type apt-get install texmacs with an active internet
conexion"
i do this and the terminal says "impossible de trouver le paquet texmacs"
so i feel lost, i really need texmacs this week end to .. just do my work
i precise that i never find any simple solution to install texmacs on my snow
leopard; under tiger or leopard it was simple bur for snow the texmacs pages
seemd to say there were some problems
can anyone help me ?
i have internet just this afternoon
