Hi TeXmacs folks,

I am looking for a way to find errors (bad macros, illegal image links, obsolete label uses) in a TeXmacs document *without* having to visually scan the entire 100+ page document. Details of my woes are in the attached TeXmacs/PDF/script-output files.

Thanks,
    Dave Wonnacott

<TeXmacs|1.0.7.7>

<style|book>

<\body>
  <chapter|In Which We Make Some Mistakes>

  Here is an attempt to include an image file (noman.eps) --\<gtr\>
  <image|file:noman.eps|*5/8|*5/8||||> \<less\>--, to see if there is any
  error from TeXmacs at the command-line prompt (or anywhere else, for that
  matter).

  \;

  Here is an attempt to use a TeXmacs macro I've not defined
  (backslash-noman) --\<gtr\> <noman> \<less\>--, once again I am hoping for
  some sort of error message to notify me.

  \;

  Obviously in this small test I can see the problems on my screen, but in a
  150 page book, I need to get a quick summary of errors.

  \;

  Also nice would be a way to throw out any no-longer-current label's
  <emdash> as far as I can tell, if I create a label section:noman
  <label|sec:noman> and then change it to sec-noman, any old references
  --\<gtr\> <reference|section:noman> \<less\>-- to the original label retain
  their old values even if the new label's number changes (even after using
  ``Document-\<gtr\>Update All'' my customary three times).

  \;

  I believe I used to see errors about bad image includes and/or bad commands
  when I tried to produce a PDF file, and now (TeXmacs 1.0.7.7 on Ubuntu
  11.04) I don't.
