When using BibTeX style file (in this example plainnat.bst) for bibliography
as described in
http://davidhughjones.blogspot.com/2008/07/author-date-referencing-in-texmacs.html
when issuing Document->Update->Bibliography i get the following in terminal:

TeXmacs] Generating bibliography [bib, plainnat, lit_references.bib]
TeXmacs] BibTeX command: cd $TEXMACS_HOME_PATH/system/bib; BIBINPUTS=/home/
<path to the edited file>:$BIBINPUTS BSTINPUTS=/home/<path to the edited
file>:$BSTINPUTS bibtex temp
TeXmacs] Error: Initialization of iconv from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 failed!

On the screen the Bibliography content is not rendered - stays empty.

Meanwhile in the folder ~/.TeXmacs/system/bib along with plainnat.bst three
files has appeared: temp.aux, temp.bbl, temp.blg. Those three look complete.

I use the newest TeXmacs-1.0.7.18-x11-i386-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz run with
texmacs & command. I'm on Linux Mint 13 (3.2.0-23-generic) and I've tried my
distro's specific installation first (1.0.7.14-1) but it wouldn't start so I
reached for the generic.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

P.S.
I'm new to TeXmacs and it looks very impressive! Thank you.
